The past month has been full of opportunities for our entire community to take the opportunity to come along and see presentations for a range of roles at Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery.
So far we have appointed Jean Chiron to the fixed term homebase learning advisor position for La Decouverte and Alisha Siddique to the fixed term homebase learning advisor position (Maths 7-13).
I can now also announce that Niki Stephenson will be our new permanent senior leader / deputy director (1-6). Niki brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our school, particularly at Y1-3 of the curriculum and in special needs education. Niki is extremely excited to be joining the Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery community as a staff member. She is already a parent of a student at the Unlimited Campus so has a clear understanding of our special character. Niki’s appointment will see Ian move to the Unlimited Campus from 2018 where he will lead the 7-10 curriculum, with Duncan overseeing 11-13 curriculum.
Rob Miceli has also been appointed to the permanent homebase learning advisor position (English 7-13). Rob has been working at Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery this year in a fixed term role and is really looking forward to continuing to build on the relationships he has already formed with students, parents and staff at our school.
Finally, just a reminder that next Tuesday at 3.15pm at the Discovery we have the presentations for our final appointment for 2018 – homebase learning advisor (4-6).
