The group is supported by year 12 student Phoenix Tumataroa who is mentored by Duncan Woods. Phoenix successfully completed the Aspire program in 2015 and derived a lot of benefit. He wants to help other students find motivation and success. There are currently between 3-5 students using this program. They could take a few more. If you think your son or daughter might benefit, then please contact me, or come in on a Tuesday or Thursday.
The Treaty of Kaha
As a way of learning about treaties in general, but especially as we approach our marae trip, I intend to negotiate a treaty for Kaha on BYOD and the use of devices in community and during learning time. I hope the treaty is able to illustrate how we negotiate differing sets of beliefs and expectations. The treaty of Kaha will be published once ratified. Watch this space.
