We would love to have a number stay over but all parents are invited to dinner on the Wednesday night. If you have any questions please ask your Homebase LA or me.
Mini Impact Projects
In a nutshell an Impact Project is an inquiry that is designed with the intent to make a difference to someone or something around you.
Starting next week we will be running students through a mini 3 week Impact Project. All students who have never done one before will be asked to join an one. Those who have could decide to run one. The purpose of these mini projects are to prepare students for there own Impact Project in term 2 and 3.
This could be an opportunity for parents to run a small 3 week project. Mini Impact Projects will happen on in community time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. At the end of the term we will give students a couple of weeks to plan for their own project.
Cookie Time Easter Fundraiser
We have a new fundraiser running. This year we can order Cookie Time Easter Tins. They come as a set of 2 for $20 and we get $5 that. At Christmas we made nearly $1000 thanks to several people taking the fundraiser into their work.
The way it works is you take the orders and collect the money. Once you have given the school the money we will order the sets for you. All money will go through Jill – email@example.com – this time preferably via internet banking but if not in person to her. We can start ordering soon so you can begin taking orders.
Last orders by March 20th.
All students have entered classes for 1.2. These start next week. This year the Deputy Directors, Ian Hayes and Duncan Woods, will be checking class limits and doing their best to resolve any issues with class numbers and space before the classes start. 1.2 classes start next Monday.
This Friday our year 10 girls and any other interested students will be taking part in the Me Program. This program is amongst other things about teaching students the difference between normal menstruation and things like endometriosis.
