The snow has finally arrived (on the mountains at least) so now is a great time to get up to Mount Hutt to improve your ski or snowboard skills. Trips are open to all Ao Tawhiti students. We will be leaving the Unlimited Campus at 7am on Thursday mornings. The first trip is planned for 25th August. The total cost for transport, gear hire (board/ skis, boots and helmet) lift-pass and group lesson will be $75. Group lessons and helmet are compulsory. Lessons will take place in the morning, with the afternoon free to practice the skills learnt.
We aim to be back at school by 6pm.
For more information on the day, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
All students keen for a day (or more) at Mount Hutt should register their interest via the Google form at this link. (Students will need to be logged in to their Ao Tawhiti account to access the form)
We are also keen to have some parent support (you will need to have completed the police vetting process, have a full driver’s license and have experience driving manual vehicles on ski access roads). Parents will have the option of joining a group lesson, and will be required to supervise students on the field once lessons have finished. There will be no cost for adult supervisors.
Parents interested in helping please complete the form through this link.
In the event of more interest than spaces available on any particular day (either student or parent) preference will be given in order of application and attempting to keep the total number of trips for each person equitable.
