Year 1-4 Community News Week 9

The week ahead is full of fantastic opportunities to engage the children.

On Tuesday we have Skate School, who had postponed from PINs. If your child is involved in this please send them along in suitable clothing. We of course also have the amazing Mary Dunn in for music that day.

Wednesday we’ll have kapahaka which the children have been enjoying. It’s super fast paced and highly engaging.

Thursday at 11am is the children’s chance to present some of their learning in Celebration of Learning. We have HB Tuatara leading for the first time, and presentations about art, writing, trees and more.

Don’t forget we have our Scholastic book shop open in the makerspace this week too.

And a heads up – we are having a book character dress up on the Thursday after Easter – put your thinking caps on!

A reminder that school is closed Good Friday and Easter Monday and Tuesday. We hope you all have a great mini break full of family and friends.

Another friendly reminder – school is not open for children to be supervised before 8.30am. If staff are present before then they are trying to prepare for the day, getting some admin done, tidying or pre-planning for future learning sessions. Please ensure you do not leave your children before 8.30am. Many thanks.

Hoping to see you all over the week,

Nadine
