Kay’s Community Newsletter November 5th
Big Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered at Motukarara. We had some great feedback from organisers about the students who volunteered. Next year they will make a big donation to Ao Tawhiti Projects which could benefit lots of year 7-10’s.
Cookie Time Christmas Cookies
We are running this fundraiser again this year although it is slightly different. This year for $20 you get a great square tin full of 600g of cookies and a $5 voucher for Killinchy Gold Ice Cream. The school gets $5 from every tin sold. Last year we made the lots of money from parents taking order forms to their work places and getting orders. I will attach a copy of the order form below. Orders need to be returned with the money by Tuesday 4th December.

Community Day Amazing Race
We are planning an end of term fun day in the city. Thursday 13th December is a Community Day and for part of the day we are going to run an Amazing Race around the city. This means we will need a bunch of parents willing to escort / follow on behind groups.
The Crate Escape / Prison Escape
A week or so ago the LA’s had the fantastic opportunity to try and break out of prison. This was thanks to Andrew Dean and we highly recommend it! The Crate Escape group have 3 escape rooms and the Prison Escape is their latest. It is so much fun and an interesting experience for all kinds of groups. The Prison Escape is R13 and I could imagine a group of older students doing it for a birthday get together. There are two other escape rooms one for all ages and another R13.
