Tuesday Update

Awesome. That’s really all I have to say. It was so awesome to see so many of you yesterday. We had 485 of our students come to school, and they were awesome.

I am so appreciative of everyone’s willingness to accept the considerable changes that we have had to make to accommodate the health and safety regulations required at Alert Level 2. I realise that I have asked a lot. It’s important that you are recognised for supporting me in this.

We think that our staggered start to the day worked okay. You can help us out by continuing to

  • encourage Y1-6 students to arrive between 8.45am and 9am, and to do so through 1.2’s external door.
  • encourage Y7-13 students to arrive when their first class starts. The later they can arrive, the easier it is for us to get the Y1-6 students to their homebases
  • bring food that you can eat directly from your lunch box

No students will be allowed to enter the building until 8.45am

If you need something .. anything at all .. that might make your transition to school easier, please get in touch with your HBLA. We understand that for some of you, some of the time, you might need us to be flexible. The worst we can do is to say no … the more likely response is for us is to say that “we’ll try”.

I hope to see more of you across the week.
