Athletics’ Day is Thursday, February 23rd, 2023. On this day, school will be closed, as all staff will be at the sports’ day.
Students must be dropped off between 8:30am and 9am and picked up between 3pm and 3:30pm at Ngā Puna Wai sports’ ground. This is located at Augustine Drive in Wigram, Christchurch. There will be no transportation provided by the school.
If your child isn’t coming, can you please email office@aotawhiti.school.nz or ring us on 033777773 or send a message through school apps.
We encourage all communities to wear their designated community colour. Please refer to the accompanying table to see what colour your child’s community is wearing.
Please make sure children have sunscreen, a packed lunch, water, a hat, and appropriate athletic attire. Students won’t be allowed to leave the sports’ grounds to get food, and there are no local food outlets. If we have to cancel because of rain then we will notify everyone via our social media channels and school apps. We will make that decision on Wednesday afternoon.
All whānau are welcome to come along and cheer your children during the day. We have attached a timetable so you can see when your child is competing.
