2021 Homebases – Updated 2.2.21

We have completed our homebase placements for 2021. This is a huge job that takes a lot of effort to put together. We’d like to acknowledge all those that contributed to this process.

Check the big blue link at the bottom of the page to see your HBLA for 2021.

There are always some people who feel a degree of disappointment with their placement. Please keep in mind that we make every effort to do our very best for every student. We ask that if you are in this situation that you remain open to the placement and give it try for a couple of weeks. If after that it’s really not working please then come and talk to us about it.

Please make sure that you have booked an IEM for Thursday the 4th or Friday the 5th of February.

For our IEM booking process we are using the “School Interviews” system.

To use this system use the following link to find the booking website…

The whole process is pretty user friendly but we have created a guide to support your use of the process should you need some support. Use the following link to access the guide.

One of the things we would like all students to come to their IEM with is an idea of the courses they would like to take during Term 1. Please use the following link to browse the courses on offer.

https://lms.aotawhiti.school.nz/?q=timetable

You will need to select Term 1 from the drop down menu and then make some choices about which classes you would like to do…as a starting point it’s a good idea to have a class in each of the colours…red, blue, yellow, green and purple. You will notice each class has a code attached to it ..for example 5MAT or 6MNG…the number is important as it indicates the curriculum level the course is aimed at, which indicates an approximate Year Level.

Level 4 classes are usually aimed at Year 7 & 8 students. Level 5 classes are usually aimed at Year 9 & 10 students. Level 6 classes are usually aimed at Year 11 students. Level 7 classes are usually aimed at Year 12 students. Level 8 classes are usually aimed at Year 13 students.
