Last week we saw another great session of Parent Led workshops on Friday morning.
Thanks to everyone who offered and delivered a workshop. We had about 30 students experiencing the workshops and it’s great to be able to offer them opportunities that they can’t usually access in their timetable.
Last week we had students learning Barista skills in the cafe, we had the Papier Mache projects continuing, a group went out to Oderings Nursery to get a behind the scenes look at how the business operates…they’re also going to be replanting all of the planter boxes at school, we had a group being supported in the kitchen to do their own cooking projects, another parent was offering advice and guidance around setting up a business, we have a variety of sewing projects on the go and these are being supported and guided by another parent and we had a professional artist come into start working with students.
This coming week we have students off to Plains FM to see how the station works and then record their own show, we have Papier Mache continuing, a session on editing and proofreading written work, the Innovation and Business workshop, the sewing and the kitchen are all on offer again too.
