The school has received formal notice that the full day strike planned for Thursday October 23rd will go ahead. The unions involved in this strike are NZEI, which covers primary teachers and support staff and PPTA, which covers secondary teachers. Because the majority of staff will be on strike we are unable to safely open the school that day.
We can offer very limited supervision to students in years 1 – 6, so please fill in this form if your child needs supervision for that day.
Nicole and Mel’s camp will still run.
Please note that we have had informal notification from the PPTA union that the secondary teachers will be striking from 1:15 – 3:15pm on Wednesday 5 November. If this strike goes ahead than students in years 9 – 13 will finish school at 12:20pm. The year 7 – 8 camp will still run. I will confirm this strike when we receive formal notification.
