Whakanuia te kanorau, Celebrating diversity.

I hope you have 6 November marked in your diaries. This conference is going to be great!

Because our keynote speaker has a 6pm curtain call, we have had to move his not-to-be-missed speech to 2pm. I hope this doesn’t cause too many issues for people who want to come and see him, the reorganisation will be worth it, I promise!

The idea for organising this conference came about after LA Sarah Higginson, Mana Ake kaiamahi Seth Johnstone and myself gave a talk on anxiety in term 1 (remember all the way back then?!). That was well received, and some parents asked me if we could have a similar evening with a focus on neurodiversity. During various conversations with different parents who I know have a vested interest in neurodiversity, I came to realise that I could not pick one area to focus our next event on. The idea of having multiple speakers in the form of a conference seemed the obvious solution, and I am so pleased to be able to offer this event to you.

Please ask your friends and whānau to come along, I think there is something for everyone.

Keep your eyes open for website/ fb/ instagram/ twitter posts. I’ll be posting tidbits regularly to get you all as excited as I am.
