I’m five years old and this is my first year at Ao Tawhiti (2025) and I’ve learned so many cool things! I made my own stop-motion movie about sharks with help from my parents, and it even got shown at the school film festival. Seeing it on the big screen made me feel really proud and brave.
I love going on trips around the city with my homebase. We get to explore lots of different places, and it makes me feel like the whole city is my learning space. I’ve learned about buildings, people, stories, histories and even how things work in real life.
Lately, I’ve been really interested in atoms, molecules, and even quantum physics! My LAs let me follow the things I’m curious about, and my whānau learns with me too, which makes it even more fun.
I love Ao Tawhiti because it helps me discover new things every day and makes me feel confident, excited, and connected to the world around me.
